Raphael Costa was Born in Recife, a city of a great cultural effervecence, placed in the northeast of Brazil, cradle of expressions and traditional rhythms of the country like forró, maracatu, ciranda, frevo, cavalo marinho e coco. Singer, guitarrist, and composer, released as a result recording of his experimentations of his own repertore, his first EP. The process that included solo concerts, exebitions with different bands formations in Brazil and Europe, besides recordings with producers and musicians from the most distinct brazilian music (as Jr Tostoi a guitarrist and producer of Lenine; César Michiles, a flautist and Naná Vasconcelos producer;  the songwriters Renato Braz and Marcelo Jeneci; the bass players Guila, Hugo Linns, Bráulio Araújo and Marcos Paiva; the drummer Pantico Rocha; the guitarrist Juliano Hollanda and the percussionists Lucas dos Prazeres, Gilú, Benjamim Ruschi, and Claudinho Santana. He incorporates new possibilities to his sonoris investigation transforming his language.
His first two songs (“Banho” and “Santo”) from the EP recorded live in Studio, bring about some recently features of his way of composing. Inusitate rhythmic divisions and Odd time signatures in spite of complex sound in his music in a very organic and natural, almost imperceptable nuances form the base to the themme developing. Mainly the third and fourth track, (“Minh’alma”, “Nossa Sessão” a due with Marcelo Jeneci and Juninamente with Cezzinha), illustrate the composer taste to melodic songs, rich in harmony and poetic. The bonus track (“Tempos Assim” recorded with the Wassab band), points to the force of the contemporary pop music.
With themmatics and extensive sound, the EP, classified in a concepto “World Music” Will take Raphael Costa from june to september back to Europe, to a tour that might passes to France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Holland, Sweeden and Dinamarc.
